EUCALYPTUS RADIATA is the most useful Eucalyptus because it smells better and is more easily assimilated. It is most useful for sinus conditions because it can be inhaled very closely without triggering a cough reflex. Many sources say it is the oil of choice for infections high up in the chest. A traditional aboriginal remedy, eucalyptus is a powerful antiseptic used all over the world for relieving coughs and colds, sore throats and other infections. The leaves cool the body and relieve fever. Inhaling the vapors of the essential oils heated in water clears sinus and bronchial congestions.
